Seafari & snorkeling on a catamaran

The location was amazing, an easy walk to town but enough outside that it felt quiet and peaceful. Being able to walk out the room and swim in the ocean was wonderful. The food was delicious (one of the best pina coladas we’ve had, and their red snapper is sautéed, making it way more tender and juicy than the typical deep oil fried snapper you’ll see in tico restaurants). But best of all was the staff and service. We had a couple small issues (including a water issue that affected the whole town) and the staff did an amazing job at resolving everything asap, and went above and beyond in making it right. The staff and service were the best part of staying here and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who appreciates friendly and caring service.

Es war wunderschön: tolle Zimmer mit täglich frischen Handtüchern, auch für den Strand. Leckeres Frühstück mit frischem Obst und Blick aufs Meer. Der Strand ist ideal für Familien. The staff are wonderful, attentive and relaxed, nothing is too much trouble. Claudia and her team organised excellent excursions for us. The food is incredible, 6 amazing choices for breakfast, and the restaurant is equally good, with great vegan and veggie choices. We stayed in the largest room with sea views, and it was more like a fully equipped apartment! We loved staying here, and will definitely be back!

Quiet, right on the beach, the staff is amazing, the restaurant has great food and the rooms are beautiful. It is such a relaxing ambiance and the people make it more special.  They are all very professional, so willing to help with anything and always smiling! My husband and I (with our dog) spent our 28th wedding Anniversary there; we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to rest and enjoy good food  with a great friendly service , extremely cleen rooms, comfortable  located on the beach a few minutes from Sàmara center. David was extremely helpful available and efficient, Jessica was always ready to help  with a good vibes and efficiency. All the staff were great, we don't remember all the names. FROM SAN JOSE

Drive north on the Panamerican / Interamerican Highway / National 1, and exit at “radial el coyol” to follow the Autopista 27 towards Puntarenas / Esparza. Then, resume on National 1 towards Limonal. Exit at Limonal and take a left towards Nicoya. Continue to the Tempisque River and cross the “La Amistad” bridge. Proceed towards Nicoya. Continue to Nicoya (do not follow Hojancha). From Nicoya, take route 150 to Samara, approximately 38 km/24 miles. Note that roads are not always well marked with route numbers; look for signs with city/town names. Once in Samara, take the left towards Puerto Carrillo and drive 1 km straight. You’ll find Bahia’s sign on the right. Pass the sign, turn right on the dirt road, and follow it to the beach (100 m). You have arrived.

FROM LIBERIA

Drive south to Nicoya. From Nicoya, take route 150 to Samara, approximately 38 km / 24 miles. Note that roads are not always well marked with route numbers; look for signs with city/town names. Once in Samara, take the left towards Puerto Carrillo and drive 1 km straight. You’ll find Bahia’s sign on the right. Pass the sign, turn right on the dirt road, and follow it to the beach (100 m). You have arrived.

BY SHUTTLE

Companies offer daily service from San Jose and Liberia to Samara, with average prices of $50 per person. There is also private shuttle service from Liberia Airport or San Jose Airport, for approximately $240 from San Jose and $135 from Liberia, for up to 6 passengers. Please email us for more details.
